Installation & Operating Manual
Norit uFix
INTRODUCTION
Thank you for choosing the Norit uFix, a water
filter system for home use. It can easily be
connected to your cold water supply line under
the kitchen or any sink in the home. The uFix is
supplied with a filter cartridge. The type of
cartridge best suited to your situation depends
on the quality of your incoming water and your
personal preferences. For more details about
the capabilities of the various filter cartridges,
please refer to the overview in this manual,
or to the relevant product datasheet on our
website www.filtrix.com.

IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONS

The system is only suitable for cold water
lines. The maximum permitted operating
temperature is 40˚ C/104˚ F. The maximum
operating pressure of the filter system is 6
bar/87 psi. Please check with your water
company or pump provider for information on
the existing water pressure. Protect the unit
against freezing after first use. Handle with
care, do not expose to shocks. Make sure the
filtration system is properly connected in the
water
system
by
instructions in this manual.

INSTALLATION AND OPERATION
To install the Norit uFix follow the steps on the
fold-out page in this manual. The Norit uFix is
supplied with a hose push-in coupling fitted
with a 3/8" BSP male connection for the
incoming water supply line. You must provide
a suitable coupling on your water line. Several
types of coupling are available in stores.
This coupling will no longer be referred to in
this manual.
System start-up
Slowly open the water supply valve of the water
system. Allow water to flush through the uFix
for two minutes (approximately five liters of
water). Norit H
OK filter cartridges with
2
activated carbon may contain small carbon
particles, which could result in a slightly dark
discoloration of the first few liters of water.
Check the tubing and connector for possible
leaks.
Filter cartridge change
Replace the filter cartridge every six months or
when you notice a significant reduction in
the uFix water pressure. The need for early
replacement is not usually a result of a filter
defect, but rather an indication of poor feed
water quality. Remove the cartridge from the
head by turning it 90 degrees clockwise. The
built-in valves of the head will shut off the
water. Pull down the cartridge. Discard as
regular waste or with your other recyclable
material. Follow the instructions for mounting
a new cartridge and system start-up.
