1) INTRODUCTION

The resistive decade MDR-611 of direct current has 6 decades
of resistance and offers an excellent accuracy for a wide range
of values. Because the high precision of the rotary switch,
which has low resistance, it is possible to reduce the error that
typically occurs due the contact resistance in low resistance
ranges. The switches are protected against dust, and they
don't need to be cleaned.
The resistances of this decade are manufactured with wires of
manganin of high quality, which has low coefficient of tempera-
ture allowing therefore the use of this equipment for several
applications as electric, electronic and scientific of precision
experiments.

2) SAFETY INFORMATION

This manual contains information and warnings that must be
followed for a safe operation of the equipment and to keep it
in safe conditions of operation.
In the case of any doubt regarding the protection provided by
the equipment, make it unusable immediately.
The protection can be compromised if, for example, the
equipment: Shows visible damages; It was stored for a long
time in unfavorable conditions; It was submitted to the severe
vibrations of transport.
Never connect voltage above the limits of the inputs of the
equipment. Otherwise, the equipment can be permanently
damaged, and the user can be exposed to fatal injuries.

be executed by qualified personal.
