MAINTENANCE
If the water contains too much mineral, calcium or/and too much magnesium it can leave a
"white powder" in the device. If this deposit is on the ceramic disk or water sensor lever or
the nebulizer, the device will be prevented from operating properly.
The use of essential oils or perfume extracts can create deposits on the ceramic disk
(membrane) and the nebulizer, it can prevent the diffuser to function properly.
We recommend:
1) Use demineralized water and alcohol-free essential oils or perfume extracts soluble in
water and for diffusion each time.
2) Clean the vase every 2 days, cleaning the ceramic disk and the nebulizer each week.
3) Change the water in the vase regularly. Don't leave it there for more than 2 days.
4) Clean the whole diffuser (see the explanation below) and making sure that all the parts
are completely dry when it is not being used.
Note: Do not use resinous and sticky Essential oils (Myrrh, Frankincense, Patchouli ...) in this
unit. Essential oils of citrus and conifer (pine, fir ...) can be used if take care of the nebulizer
by cleaning completely the unit after use.
Cleaning the ceramic disk and water sensor level:
Clean the ceramic disc and the surface of the nebulizer with soft cloth or cotton sticker with
some white vinegar, leave it for a few minutes. Then rinse with clean water.
Do not press or scratch the ceramic disc or the water lever sensor.
Don't use washing powder, soap, solvent, or spray to clean any part of the nebulizer.
Do not use hard tool to scratch the surface.
Storage:
After having cleaned and dried the diffuser, store it in a clean, dry place, out of the reach of
children.
Note:
The lifetime of the ceramic disk is limited (about 2000 hours). After some time of utilization
the device will generate less mist. This is normal wear of the ceramic disk. It should be
replaced by the same size of ceramic disc (replacement ceramic disk not included).
