7) With the door open, enter your new
combination. Depress each button fully
and release it. You must feel a click each
time you press a button to know that
the button was fully depressed.
8) Turn the outside thumbturn to the
right (clockwise) until it stops; the latch
should retract.
9) Release the outside thumbturn;
the latch should return to its initial
extended position.
Keep the door open and test the
operation of the lock to make sure
your combination was set correctly:
Operating the lock:
Repeat 2-3 times to ensure trouble-free
operation with new combination.
1) Turn the outside thumbturn to the left
(counterclockwise) to "clear".
2) Enter the combination. Depress each
button fully and release it. You must feel
a click each time you press a button
to know that it was fully depressed.
3) Turn the outside thumbturn to the right
(clockwise). The latch should retract.
Tests:
1) Try to operate the lock without entering
a combination. The thumbturn should not
turn to the right. If it does turn, the
combination was not properly entered.
Set a new combination by following steps
1 to 9 on page 10, omitting Step 2.
2) Try to operate the lock by entering a
wrong combination. The thumbturn
should not turn to the right.

Para hacer funcionar la cerradura:

para "borrar".
2) Teclee la combinación. Oprima completa-
mente cada botón y suéltelo. Deberá oir

sido oprimido al máximo.
3) Gire la manija exterior hacia la derecha.
El pestillo deberá replegarse.
Pruebas:
1) Trate de hacer funcionar la cerradura sin
instalar una combinación. La manija no
debería girar hacia la derecha. Si gira,
la combinación no ha sido instalada
adecuadamente. Instale una nueva
combinación siguiendo los pasos 1 a 9
de la página 10, pero omita el paso 2.
2) Trate de hacer funcionar la cerradura
instalando una combinación equivo-
cada. La manija no debería girar
hacia la derecha.
