I. GENERAL.
The Model 225X Electraray Light is a UL listed visual signal for hazardous locations and has been
investigated by Underwriters Laboratories as meeting Type 4X (water tight and corrosion resis‑
tant) enclosure requirements. The Model 225X also meets IP66 (dust-tight and protection against
heavy seas) enclosure requirements. The unit is available for 120 Vac, 50/60 Hz and 230-240 Vac,
50/60 Hz.
II. INSTALLATION.
A. Unpacking.
Damaged domes can lead to explosions which could result in serious injury or death.
After unpacking the Model 225X, examine it for damage that may have occurred in transit. If
the equipment has been damaged, do not attempt to install or operate it, file a claim immedi‑
ately with the carrier stating the extent of the damage. Carefully check all envelopes, shipping
labels and tags before removing or destroying them.
B. Mounting.
To reduce the risk of fire or explosion, do not install in a hazardous location if the operating
temperature exceeds the hazardous atmosphere's ignition temperature.
