You should then press the tie bridge of the neckstrap
fastening tab forward slightly until it protrudes above
the central fastening pin. Possibly with the aid of a
small lever. Then pull the neckstrap fastening tab down
until it can be released from the two outside pins.
To fit the new chin/neck strap, simply follow the
procedure in reverse order. Please ensure that the
SCHUBERT icon on the neckstrap fastening tab is
pointing towards the inside. Insert the closing hooks
with the snap-in buttons on the inside and press in
hard until you hear a distinct click.
Replacing the head support ring
To replace the head support ring, the chin/neck strap
must first be removed (see: Replacing the chin/neck
strap). You will then be able to loosen the lateral
support arms from the head support ring, using a small
lever if necessary.
Then press the head support ring together in the centre
and turn it through 90°. The snap-in fastening element
on the head support ring can now be pulled out of the
opening in the retainer strap. To insert a new head
support ring, please proceed in the reverse order.

Cleaning and care
Clean the shell and internal features with warm soapy water only. The internal
features of the helmet can be treated with disinfectant (e.g. Heliosept Medical
Spray). Use only approved cleaning products and disinfectants. Do not use any
solvents.
Changes to the helmet
Attention: The standard version of your helmet meets the applicable
standards and it must therefore not be changed or equipped with
third-party components or accessories of any kind. The replacement of
individual components is only permitted if they are of the same type as
the individual components of the type-approved helmet, or if they have
been specially approved for replacement by SCHUBERTH. Incorrect or
third-party internal features, the subsequent drilling of holes for
accessories or any other changes to the helmet may affect the protective
function and void the certification. Only accessories that are suitable for
the SCHUBERTH F 300 must be used. If in doubt, please contact SCHUBERTH.
Service life - firefighter's helmet
In accordance with standard EN 443:2008, the service life duration of this
helmet is influenced by the types of materials used in its construction, as well
as the environments in which the helmet is used and stored. This firefighter's
helmet with painted shell, which is made of modified high temperature-resi-
stant thermoset material (high temp fibre) has excellent resistance to ageing
and undergoes no change when it is exposed to direct sunlight (UV radiation).
The service life of these helmets is limited mainly by mechanical, thermal,
weather-related and chemical impacts. Care, regular maintenance and the
type of use also play a role.
Thermoset materials (such as the high temp fibre used) are generally consi-
dered to be highly resistant to these stresses. Their resistance to weather-rela-
ted, chemical and thermal stresses is clearly far greater than that of thermo-
plastic materials.
Attention: SCHUBERTH fire helmets have no mandatory service life or
expiry/discard date, since the maximum service life depends on the
above-mentioned effects.
