Before installing the unit, have a structural
engineer check the static conditions of the
planned attachment point!
Germany only: Festool offers you the op-
portunity to have the energy box or the
boom arm assembled by an authorised fitter.
The energy box or boom arm is assembled
completely and handed over ready to use.
We recommend using this service for quicker,
more reliable assembly.
The following attachment options are possi-
ble:
• Wall mounting
• Ceiling installation
• Pillar mounting
Mounting the ASA on a concrete wall -
Fig. [1]
Six (only four on the ASA 2500) dowel holes
must be drilled in the concrete wall in line
with the pattern on the enclosed drilling tem-
plate.
B25 - B55 or C20/25 to C50/60 Fischer Com-
bi tie rods FBN II 16/15 K, 16/25, 16/50 are
ideal fastening dowels for non-cracked con-
crete.
Mounting the ASA on a concrete ceiling

The ASA can be mounted on a ceiling using
the bracket shown in Fig. [2]. Fastening ele-
ments should be provided by the customer
and manufactured according to structural
calculations.
Mounting the ASA on a tiled or cavity
wall - Fig. [3]
Fastening elements should be provided by
the customer and manufactured according to
structural calculations.
Continuous M16 threaded rods are recom-
mended.
Mounting the ASA on a pillar - Fig. [4]
The ASA is mounted on a pillar or beam as
shown in Fig. [4].
Shortening the ASA suspended section
The length of the suspended section is 1.6 m
on delivery, but the aluminium pipe
be cut to a specific length if required.
When the section is shortened, the piping
systems are pulled through towards the rear.
Important: The piping systems should not
be clamped in position, but should have a
certain amount of freedom of movement in
the cable duct so that they are not damaged
when the boom arm is moved.
Cable duct (ASA CT/SRM only)
The enclosed cable duct must be mounted on
the wall or pillar between the ASA bracket
and the location of the dust extractor. The
aluminium pipe [6-2]
the clamps [6-1] in the cable duct and con-
nected to the ASA and the dust extractor us-
ing the accompanying tube sections [6-3]. If
necessary, shorten the cable duct and alu-

Connection and operation

7.1 Connecting the compressed air
line
The following is required for correct opera-
tion:
– Air pressure: 4 - 8 bar flow pressure
– Min. air output: 400 l/min for each con-
nected Festool compressed air sander.

Connect the grey compressed air line on
the ASA to the coupling connector on the
service unit and then to the on-site com-
pressed-air system.

Connecting the control cable

CT mobile dust extractors, series CT 22,
CT 33, CT 44, CT 55

Fit the assembly set (module EAA CT22/
33/44/55: 495756) for the control cable
to the CT mobile dust extractor (see as-
sembly instructions).
CT mobile dust extractor series CT 26,
CT 36
X Fit the assembly set (module EAA CT26/
36: 494896) to the CT mobile dust extrac-
tor (already fitted on CTM 36 LE and CTL
36 LE models).
X Plug the control cable into the socket on
the extractor.
