5. Installing Rear Speakers

Cut out both templates (1 and 2).
Adhere template (1) onto right-hand B-pillar trim
panel (3). Adhere template (2) on left-hand B-pillar
trim panel (4).
Cut out aperture (5) for rear speakers with
pneumatic saw.
Deburr edges with file.
The illustrations below show the installation set-up
in the right-hand B-pillar trim panel.
Follow the same procedure for the left-hand
B-pillar trim panel.

Grind off reinforcement ribs (1) at a distance of
20 mm from the speaker aperture (2) with angle
grinder on both B-pillar trim panels (3).

Fit mid-range speaker (1) in B-pillar trim panel (2)
and firmly secure with threaded ring (3).
6. Connecting Auxiliary Wiring
Harness

Open 17-pin socket housing of radio plug
connector (1) and connect branches A1-A4 as
follows:
Plug socket contact from branch A1, yellow wire,
into 17-pin socket housing at slot Pin 3.
Plug socket contact from branch A2, brown wire,
into 17-pin socket housing at slot Pin 12.
Plug socket contact from branch A3, blue wire,
into 17-pin socket housing at slot Pin 6.
Plug socket contact from branch A4, brown wire,
into 17-pin socket housing at slot Pin 14.
Close 17-pin socket housing again.

Connect branch A5, 3-pin black socket housing,
blue and brown wire, to speaker (1) of right-hand
B-pillar trim panel (2).
Connect branch A6, 3-pin black socket housing,
yellow and brown wire, to speaker (3) of left-hand
B-pillar trim panel (4).

7 . General Information
Reassemble vehicle in reverse order of removal.
Reconnect battery.
Print out fault memory.
Carry out function check.
8. Encoding
This system does not require encoding.
9. Function
Start up and operation are described in the
customer information/operating instructions for
radio and sound module.
