EXTERNAL CONTROL BOX
Press the on button to switch the pump on or off
Whenever you press "-", the flow decreases by one point: the number on the
digital screen will drop by one point until it reaches 1.
Whenever you press "+", the flow increases by one point: the number on
the digital screen will rise by one point until it reaches 100.
Press the "Feed" button to stop the pump and the digital display will indica-
te "Feed". The pump will re-start automatically after 10 minutes. Press this
FEED
button again to re-start the pump during this power period.
OUTPUT
A dirty water outlet or blocked impeller will greatly reduce the output.
Always submerge the pump first before connecting it to the power supply.
It is likely not to pump water - or very little - initially, because there is air in the pump and in the pipe. Do not worry about this. Please
switch the pump on and off several times until it operates normally.
ERROR CODE ON SCREEN
E-01 lack of water:
: An acoustic warning will be heard, and the digital screen will indicate
The pump will stop/start every 30 second before finally switching off after 5 cycles if there is still a lack of water. Unplug it from the power
and, once the water has been filled up, plug it in again to re-start the pump.
EE-02 due to organic load (dirt, waste):
will stop working: check the pump housing or inlet, the rotor and the impeller.
E-03 Connection error:
Check for a correct connection.
MAINTENANCE
Unplug before cleaning
To clean the pump, removing the pump housing and take out the impeller.
Use a small brush or jet of water to clean any dirt.
Caution
: The pump shaft cannot be removed
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the pump does not work, check the following:
Check if there is a lack of water in the pump E-01
Check if the impeller is overloaded with waste E-02
Check if the connection is correct E-03
Check if the pump is in feed mode
Check the power connection and try another one to make sure electricity is reaching the pump. BEAR IN MIND: Always unplug the
pump from the mains electricity before handling.
Check that the pump outlet and the pipe are not twisted or blocked. Algae can block them so please remove any algae with a suction
siphon.
Check the inlet to make sure it is not blocked with waste
Remove the pump housing to access the impeller area. Turn the rotor to make sure it is not
broken or jammed.
Regular monthly maintenance will extend the working life of the pump.
Note: Make a U curve in each of the cords connecting an aquarium component to a plug. The U curve
is the part of the cord that is below the level of the plug and is used to prevent water from running
along the cable and coming into contact with the socket (see Fig.1).
