1. Warning and caution statements
WARNING
• Read instructions before use. The pump should
only be used by persons with training in suction
techniques.
• The use of the suction device may require that
appropriate infectious disease precautions be taken.
Precautions should be taken during use, cleaning
of the device and disposal of the tubing and the
container (as per your protocol).

CAUTION
• U.S. federal law restricts this device to sale by or on the
order of a physician (USA and Canada only).
• Performance values given are achievable under test con-
ditions. They may vary during actual use.
• Never immerse the pump unit in water or other liquids.
If this happens, the pump should be replaced.
• If the pump is contaminated with liquids from the
patient it should be replaced. Otherwise cross-
contamination might occur.
• Following each cleaning and reassembly the pump
should be tested for correct function (see section 7).
• Use only the supplied suction tubes and connectors.
