5.3 INITIAL PROGRAMMING THROUGH THE TPE
To carry out the initial installation through the TPE, it is sufficient to connect it to the interconnection module
(SIG7900) of the Headline unit. After scanning the modules of the headend, it is possible to access the module
to program. Entering the headend navigation locate the position in the rack of the module to be programmed
(refer to the MENU HEADEND SETUP).
IMPORTANT: Using SIG7905 – Controller Host device it's possible to monitor and setup remotely the
module. For further information refer to the instruction of the module SIG7905.
IMPORTANT: Press the
minutes from the last modification, the set data will be lost and the previous data will be restored.
NOTE: To make programming easier, the module is supplied with the OSD (On Screen Display) enabled by the
TPE, it reply the same menus of the TPE with a help description on the display (TV, field meter...). To use this
functionality, the TPE programmer must have the 7 version or a version more current (available in our web site
www.fracarro.com).
NOTE: If, during programming, the information "Wait..." appears often on the TPE screen (for example during
the scrolling of the channel list) it can be useful to reduce the TIMEOUT of the TPE. To carry out this procedure
enter the "TPE SETUP" – "TIMEOUT COM" menu (refer to the menu TPE SETUP).
IMPORTANT: If you install the receiver (SIG7531 or SIG7540) to draw a program only from the
RCA OUTPUT, it's preferable to disable the Transport Stream output on back-panel (OUTPUT
menu of TPE -> TS OUTPUT -> DISABLE). The receiver has to be installed in the sub-rack on
the left of the modulator, moreover there must not be empty position in the sub-rack between
a receiver (SIG7531 or SIG7540) and a modulator SIG7120.
