3. MOUNTING ACCESSORIES

For optimal dust collection, the dust container
has to be emptied, cleaned and checked
regularly.
Make sure that the battery is removed
before carrying out maintenance work.
Emptying the dust container

Press the dust container release button.
Pull the dust container from the housing.
Remove the filter rack.
Empty the dust container.
Removing and cleaning the filter

Remove the assembled filter rack from the
dust container by pulling it out.
The filter is assembled to the filter adapter.
Turn the filter clockwise to remove the filter
from the filter adapter.
Clean the filter.
Wash dust container and filter if necessary.
Make sure they are dry before installing
them.
Assemble the filter to the filter adapter.
Place the slots over the tabs and turn the
filter counterclockwise to lock.
Place the filter rack back in the dust
container. Make sure the arrow is pointing
up.
Press the dust container release button
and install the dust container onto the
housing.
Release the dust container release button
and make sure the dust container is locked
properly on the housing.
Connecting and removing the battery

Insert the battery into the base of the
appliance, as shown on the illustration.
Push the battery until it latches in.
Press the locking button (4) before
removing the battery, and disengage the
battery from the base of the appliance.

Only use batteries of the following type. Using
any other batteries could cause serious injury or
damage the tool.
CDA1051: FPB-1800L, 18V Lithium-Ion
CDA1053: FPB-1800N, 18V NiMH
The following charger can be used to charge
these batteries.
CDA1052: FPL-1800 (Lithium-Ion and
NiMH)
CDA1054: FPL-1800N (NiMH only)
4. OPERATION
Always follow the safety notes and the
relevant safety code.
Switching on/off

Switch on the machine by engaging the
On/Off switch (3).
Switch off the machine after use.
This vacuum cleaner comes with handy
attachments for special tasks.
Simply install them in the suction mouth of the
dust container. (Fig. 3)

This attachment is used for hard to reach areas.
Brush attachment (6)

This attachment is used installed on the crevice
tool and is used for vacuuming drapes, and
other fabric surfaces.
Squeegee attachment (7)

This attachment is used to pick up liquid spills.
5. SERVICE & MAINTENANCE
Make sure that the battery is removed
before carrying out maintenance work.
The machines have been designed to operate
over a long period of time with a minimum of
maintenance. Continuous satisfactory operation
depends upon proper machine care and regular
cleaning.
