21. Switch off the machine and disconnect the cable before maintenance or changing the accessories.
22. Remove the adjusting keys and wrenches. Always make sure that the keys and adjusting wrenches are
removed from the tool before turning it on.
23. Avoid incidental activation. Never carry the device whilst having your fingers on the switch when the
device is connected to a power supply source. When connecting the power supply cord to the power
source always make sure that the switch of the device is switched off, this is, in the "off" position.
24. When working outdoors, only use extension cables that are authorized for outdoor use. This reduces
the risk of electric shock.
25. Stay alert when operating the machine. Do not operate the tool when you are tired.
26. Use your tool at lower input load than specified on the nameplate to increase working efficiency and
decrease wear out.
27. Do not wipe plastic parts with solvent. Solvents such as gasoline, thinner, benzene, alcohol, ammonia
and oil may damage and crack plastic parts. Do not wipe them with such solvents. Wipe plastic parts
with a soft cloth lightly dampened with soapy water.
28. Use only original replacement parts.
29. Ensure that the power source to be utilized conforms to the power requirements specified on the
product nameplate.
II. PRECAUTIONS ON USING THE DEVICE

Wear protective glasses to protect your eyes.

The tool is strongly heated during the operation.
3.
Keep your hands away from the heating parts of the device. The small metal parts should not be
removed with the hands.
4.
Clean the device only when it has cooled down completely.
5.
Any activities performed on the device (assembling, disassembling of accessories, maintenance,
cleaning) can only be carried out when the batteries have been removed and the knife blade has
cooled down.
6.
Safe work depends on posture.
7.
When working at a highly elevated location, pay attention to objects and persons on a lower surface.
8.
Clean the device regularly to avoid a persistent encrustation of dirt.
9.
Do not place the device close to combustible materials.
10. Make sure to keep the cutting elements clean and sharp.

IV. SCOPE OF APPLICATION
The hot knife is designed for cutting elements made of expanded polystyrene (EPS), extruded polystyrene
(XPS), polyethylene, polypropylene and a large number of other foam materials used for insulation of
construction objects.
Any damage resulting from a non-conform use of the device is to be paid by the user!
