T124RAP4 CONTROL UNIT FOR BARRIER RAP4-RAP4E
The operating mode is the same as that of T124 with the exception of the following points.
- DECELERATION
Deceleration is normally enabled with standard parameters.
The deceleration is NOT programmable.
Dip-switch no. 9 is no longer linked to deceleration, but changes a number of parameters according to the
weight of the pole
- dipswitch 9 set to OFF for LIGHTER poles
- dipswitch 9 set to ON for HEAVIER poles
- INDICATOR LIGHT OPERATION
The indicator output is used to power the barrier lights. The electrical specifications remain unchanged
(24Vdc 1A max.), while the operating mode changes:
- STEADY LIGHT with barrier closed or on stop command
- FLASHING LIGHT with barrier moving
- DOUBLE FLASHING LIGHT when the barrier is in pause status (automatic reclosure).
BATTERY CHARGER CB24 (optional)
An installation with T124 can also operate in a blackout by connecting two 12V 1.3Ah rechargeable batteries (not
supplied) and a battery charger mod. CB24, without altering the rest of the installation in any way
whatsoever.
It is recommended with new installations: to connect the batteries and battery charger at the end when the
installation has been tested, to comply with figure 2 and to pay attention to the polarity of the conductors.
Connection sequence:
- cut off the 230V power supply;
- connect terminals 3 and 4 of CB24 to terminals 3 and 4 (or 5 and 6) of the control unit T124;
- using the supplied leads, connect the 2 batteries (in series) to terminals 1 and 2 of the battery charger;
- check that the control unit is powered correctly;
- reconnect to the mains 230V power supply.
- The new batteries will be fully charged after approx. 10 hours.
- The number of gate movements possible when powered by battery depends on many factors;
an approximate example could be 4 complete cycles under the following conditions:
- gate 150kg length 3m
- installation with 1 pair of photocells, plug-in receiver and 1 flashing light (25W max.)
- fully charged batteries
- within 5h from 230V power failure
