TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT HINTS
1. The temperature reading may differ from ear to ear, it
is therefore advisable to always measure the tempera-
ture in the same ear.
2. Make sure that the ear is always free from obstruc-
tions or excessive earwax.
3. External factors may influence ear temperatures such
as:
Laying your head on one ear or the other
Covering the ears for a long time
Having been exposed to very high or very low tempe-
ratures
Having been recently swimming or bathing
In these cases, remove the individual from the situation
and wait 20 minutes before measuring the temperature.
