Tips for cooking rice
• Rice is a valuable source of complex carbohydrates containing natural starch. We recommend that you
rinse the rice using cold potable water until it runs clear. This prevents the browning of rice and its sticking
to the bottom part of the vessel, however, it may also cause loss of some rice nutrients.
• When you add more water, the rice becomes fl uffi er, when you remove water the rice becomes tougher.
• Some types of rice need more water, for example wild rice, Arborio rice of short grain rice. Therefore always
adjust the recipe as needed. Proceed according to the instructions on the package of rice.
• When cooking in a larger amount of water the inside of the lid may be splashed by water drops with starch.
To achieve the best results, rinse the rice before cooking and let it stand for 20 minutes after fi nishing
cooking to absorb the excess water.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

After each use
• After use, switch the cooker off and unplug it.
• Before dismantling and cleaning, let all the parts cool off .
• Wash the cooking vessel and lid in warm, soapy water, rinse and dry.
• We do not recommend washing parts of the cooker in the dishwasher, aggressive agents and hot water
can cause stains and other damage to parts of the cooker.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool or wire brushes and abrasive sponges, the non-stick surface could
be damaged.
• Do not immerse the body of the cooker in water or any other liquids.
• You can wipe the stainless steel body of the cooker with wet cloth and then dry it off .
