Please carefully follow up the instructions in order to be sure to set it up correctly. Your set is composed of :
• one bell CRRC 80515 SER.R1 • noise-sensitive transmitter CREM 80515 SER.R1
INSTALLING THE NOISE-SENSITIVE TRANSMITTER
The transmitter must be placed near an installed noise source. It may be positioned horizontally or vertically as long
as its microphone (a) is near the noise source. (pic 1)
1. Remove the battery cover by pressing on it with your thumb and sliding down (pic 1).
2. Insert four LR03/AAA 1.5V batteries, following the polarity markings (pic 1).
3. Press the test button. If the transmission light comes on the transmitter is ready to operate. (pic 1)
4. Place the transmitter near the noise source (such as a door bell).
a - Operate the noise source.
b - If the transmission light comes on, the sensitivity and the distance between the detector and the noise source
are correct.
c - If it does not, bring the transmitter closer to the noise source and, if necessary, increase the transmitter sensi-
tivity.
5. Turn the sensitivity (e) adjustment clockwise to increase the sensitivity, and anticlockwise to reduce it (pic 1).
6. Lower the sensitivity to the lowest level that still activates the transmitter. A too-high sensitivity setting may cause
the door chime to be activated by common household noises.
7. When the system is correctly set with the door chime, carefully mark the desired location for the transmitter.
Fasten it in place with adhesive dots or two screws (pic 1).
Note : the transmitter's range will be greatly reduced if it is placed on a metal surface.
INSTALLING THE BELL
1. This fully portable door chime can be used anywhere in the home or garden
2. Open the battery compartment (pic 2)
3. If you wish to use the wall bracket, secure it at the desired height with the two large mounting screws supplied.
Before doing so, make sure the door chime operates correctly at the desired location by pressing the test button
(b) on the transmitter. (pic 1)
MODIFYING THE COMMUNICATION CODE
The chime has a number of microswitches for changing the code used between the call button (emitter) and
the chime (receiver).
There is no need to change this code unless your chime suffers from interference or is not correctly activated.
As mentioned above, the chime and call button each contain a row of microswitches numbered from 1 to 8. To
change the code, simply alter the position of one or more microswitches from 1 to 8. Positions 1 to 8 must be
identical in the chime and the noise-sensitive transmitter. (caution with the position "ON") (pic 1 - 2)
SELECTING A DIFFERENT RINGTONE
N.B. : If the black microswitch (d) of the transmitter is activated on "ON" (position in bottom), you have the
blocked ringing "Ding Dong".
