3. Operating instructions

3.1 Instructions before use

A Make sure the line voltage is within the
specifi ed range of 100 -240 V, 50 - 60 Hz.
Properly attach an approved cable plug
(not delivered with the unit due to local
variations). Connect the cable to the heater
using the so-called Euro-connector.
B Connect the heating clamp to the control
box. Never connect or disconnect the
heating clamp during operation.
C If the temperature mode is to be used,
connect the temperature probe to the
heater. It is then recommended to attach the
probe to the hottest part of the component
which in general is the part closest to the
clamp. In case of heating a bearing, always
connect the probe to the inner ring.
D Turn on the main switch.
E Insert the clamp through the bore of the
component to be heated. Continue according
to the instructions in chapter 3.2.
