5. Installation
Install filter according to its nominal width in cold
water pipes of the same dimensions and before
the equipment to be protected. Install stop valves
before and after the filter.
Assemble the connection fittings (2) in the pipe
and install filter in flow direction (see flow direc-
tion arrow) in the horizontal cold water pipe (see
installation sketch). The shut-off valve after the
pressure reducing valve must be equipped with
a drain valve.

Route the flushing water connection with hose to
the sewage channel or provide a collection basin
(capacity approx. 10 l).
Please note: According to DIN EN 1717, the
flushing water hose must be installed at a mini-
mum distance of 20mm to the highest possible
waste water level (free discharge).
Connection to the connecting module
¾" - 1¼":
1. Turn the retaining ring to the left until it
stops.
2. Push the unit's catches into the recesses
3. and rotate the unit by 45º clockwise until it
stops.
4. Pull the retaining ring with both hands
towards the unit until it locks into place. The
unit is now protected against accidental
twisting.
To loosen the filter, press the retaining ring
towards the connecting module.

6. Startup
Check the filter and the flushing water pipe for
proper installation.
The stop valves must not be opened yet. Check
the transparent cylinder (3) for proper fit and then
close the turning knob (5) by turning it clockwise.
Slowly open the stop valves before and after the
domestic water station and deaerate the water
pipe at the next outlet after the domestic water
station. Slowly open the stop valves before and
after the filter and deaerate the pipework at the
air bleed closest to the filter (after the filter). Befo-
re backwashing provide a collecting basin, if the
flushing water pipe is not connected to the waste
water system. Open the turning knob counter-
clockwise until you can hear water running out
and then close it again. Check whether the filter
is correctly sealed.

The pressure reducing valve is factory se to a
back pressure of 4 bar. In order to change the
back pressure, loosen the locking screw (9) and
turn the rotary button for pressure reducing valve
(10). The back pressure can be changed by tur-
ning the rotary button (10) control range 1.5 - 6
bar).
Turning in a clockwise direction =
higher back pressure.
Turning in anticlockwise direction =
lower back pressure.
The indicator for the back pressure setpoint (8) is
a standard value. The pressure gauge (6) shows
the pressure precisely. During setting, a draw-off
tap after the pressure reducing valve must be
opened briefly several times and closed again.
When water is drawn off, the back pressure drops
temporarily.
