User Manual Baby Insert
This manual is additional to the Hamax Outback Multifunctional Child Carrier user manual. Please read the instructions carefully
before assembling or using the baby insert. We wish you and your children many enjoyable trips!

• Important – Keep these instructions for future reference.
• This product complies with the European standard for strollers (EN 1888).
• Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the restraint system.
• Check that the seat unit is correctly engaged before use.
• Always use recline insert for children under 6 months.
• Always use recline insert for children that can not sit without assistance or do not have adequate
neck strength. Please check with a pediatrician if you are in doubt.
• This product is compatible with the Hamax Outback and the Hamax Outback One produced after
October 2016.*
• This product is suitable for use in the Hamax Outback in strolling mode only. Do not cycle with the
baby insert installed.
Please check the main user manual of the Hamax Outback for general warnings regarding safe use of this product.
* Check the production date sticker on the bottom of the trailer to verify if this applies to your trailer. The DOM code represents
the year and month of production.

getting stARted - instAllAtion

[1] Packaging content & required tools
• Baby seat (1x) [a]
• Backrest frame (1x) [b]
• Recline insert (1x) [c]
• User manual Hamax Outback Baby Insert (1x)
[2] Preparing the baby insert
• First time use only: press the buttons on the backrest frame and insert in the baby seat [a]. Keep pushing down until the
buttons click into place.
• For use with children under 6 months or that cannot sit unaided:
− Push the strap locks through the slots of the dark grey base seat [b]. Fold the light grey top layer with the shoulder straps
away from the seat. Increase the length of the shoulder straps if needed.
− Place the recline insert between the top layer and the base seat and fold back the top layer [c]. Make sure the Velcro on the
recline insert connects with the Velcro on the base seat and top layer [d].
− Push the strap locks back through the slots of the base seat.
[3] Preparing the trailer
• Release the 5-point harness.
• Pull the shoulder straps down to the lowest position.
• Detach both shoulder straps [a]. Make sure not to lose the shoulder strap buckles while the straps are detached [b].
• Pull the crotch strap through the hole in the seat padding [c]. Fold back the seat padding to expose the trailer seat.
