4.2 Voltage Test / Measurement

Safety measures as mentioned in paragraph 2.0 must be
met.
Open Polaris 3 plus Voltage Tester as described on page
26.
Connect both test probes to UUT.
The voltage testers are automatically switched on when
applied to a voltage op approx. 1 to 12 V.
The respective voltage is indicated in the display window.
Display for AC voltage measurements: for Polaris 3 plus "AC"
symbol , additionally acoustic signal is audible.
Additional illumination of LED (6) for voltages greater
than approx. 50 V AC/DC.
For DC voltage tests, the indicated voltage polarity refers
to the instrument test probe (+).
Polaris 3 plus show negative voltages by displaying the
negative polarity sign on the LCD.
For technical reasons, the instrument cannot execute an
automatic switch-on within the range of approx. 0 V to
–3 V.

4.3 Contacless Voltage Test

Safety measures as mentioned in paragraph 2.0 must be
met.
The Contacless Voltage Test succeds without open the
Polaris 3plus.
