Safety warnings for
electric planers
Before operating the tool
• Unroll the entire extension cord to prevent potential
overheating.
• Double-check the power outlet tension is the same as the
rated tension described in your tool.
CAUTION
• Remove from the work place any rags,
clothes, ropes or any object that could get caught in the
tool's blades.
WARNING
• Remove nails, screws or any object
found in the work piece. Those objects will damage the
blades and the tool. They also represent a safety hazard.
CAUTION
• Before starting any job double-check
the entire blade's fitting screws are securely fastened.
• Before operating the tool, set it ON and leave it running
for several minutes. Verify if there are any vibrations
indicating a wrong assembly or an ill-balanced blade.
After operating the tool
• When finishing the job with the tool turn it off and rest it with its base facing up and onto a wood block to prevent the
blades to touch any surface.
• Before trying to make adjustments, turn off the tool and wait for the blades to come to a complete stop.

• Never put your finger inside the shavings discharge orifice. To remove the excess, turn off and disconnect
the tool. Use a stick to remove the shavings.
• When necessary replace both blades at the same time. Otherwise, the unbalance will cause vibrations and will shorten the
useful life of the blades and tool. Handle blades with extreme care.
While operating the tool
• Use a dust extraction system whenever possible.
