Important
The fi rst time the griddle is switched on,
wash the plate to remove the protective
grease and any dirt, then switch on the ap-
pliance and preheat it for about 1 hour at the
minimum power setting.
Turn on the appliance's circuit breaker to con-

nect it to the electrical mains.
Turn on the gas supply tap.

Press the knob (A) and turn it anti-clockwise
3)
(pos. B), while keeping button (B) pressed, to
light the pilot light.
Keep the knob pressed for about 15 sec. to

prime the thermocouple.
The pilot light can also be lit by hand through
the hatch (C).
Press the knob (A) and turn it anti-clockwise

(pos. 2) to light the burner at the maximum
power setting.
Turning off
Press the knob (A) and turn it clockwise (pos.

1) to turn off the burner.
The pilot light will remain on to allow the
burner to be re-lit.
Press the knob (A) and turn it clockwise (pos.

3) to turn off the pilot light.
Turn off the gas supply tap and switch off the

main electricity supply.
