Please read these instructions carefully and retain them for future reference.

Use this appliance solely in accordance with these instructions.
•
T his appliance can not be used by children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge.
•
C leaning and maintenance must not be done by children.
•
Keep the appliance and the cable out of reach of children.
•
H ave any repairs carried out solely by a qualified electrician. Never try to repair the appliance yourself.

• B efore use, verify that the mains voltage is the same as that indicated on the type plate on the
appliance.
• Always remove the plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use.
• Always remove the plug from the wall socket by pulling on the plug, not the power cord.
• C heck the appliance's power cord regularly to make sure it is not damaged. Do not use the appliance if
the power cord is damaged. Have a damaged power cord replaced by a qualified service department.
• W hen using an extension lead always make sure that the entire cable is unwound from the reel.
• Use solely approved extension leads.
• O bserve the prescribed maximum length of use: allow the appliance to cool down for five minutes after
every three minutes use. This will increase the lifespan of the applicance.
• M ake sure that the appliance and the power cord do not come in contact with sources of heat, such as
a hot hob or naked flame.
• Make sure that the appliance, the power cord and plug do not come into contact with water.

• D o not use this appliance when under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medicines. In the event of
doubt, consult the information enclosed with your medicine.
• D o not wear loose clothing or jewellery, since these could become caught in the appliance. For the
same reason, also tie back long hair.
• Never use the appliance outdoors.
• Never use the appliance in humid rooms.
• Make sure the area in which you use the appliance is well-lit.
• Place the appliance on a flat, stable surface where it cannot fall.
• U se this food slicer solely to cut suitable food. Never use it for other purposes; this will prevent damage
to the appliance and injuries due to inappropriate use.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the draining board, worktop or table.
• Make sure that your hands are dry when you touch the appliance, the power cord or the plug.
• S witch off the appliance and remove the plug from the wall socket in the event of a malfunction during use,
and before cleaning the appliance, fitting or removing an accessory, or storing the appliance after use.
• Clean the appliance thoroughly after use (see "Cleaning and maintenance").
• Never immerse the appliance, the cord or the plug in water or any other liquid.
• This appliance may not be used through an external timer or by means of a remote control.
D o not touch the appliance if it has fallen in the water. Remove the plug from the wall socket
immediately. Do not use the appliance any more.
