Please read through these instructions for use carefully before installing this device.
Operation
The Blue Lagoon UV-C Saltwater is specially designed for saltwater (salt chlorinated) swimming pools. In the Blue Lagoon UV-C Saltwater, a
UV-C radiation with a wavelength of 253.7 nm is generated by the special UV lamp, ensuring a lethal effect on bacteria (including Legionella
bacteria). The Blue Lagoon UV-C Saltwater will ensure that your pool water is clean, fresh and clear in an efficient and environmentally-
friendly manner. The water is led through the UV-C device via a pump. The UV-C radiation neutralises bacteria, viruses and other primitive
organisms and stops them from multiplying. The Blue Lagoon UV-C Saltwater has a built-in high-frequency electronic ballast, which absorbs
current fluctuations, thereby protecting the lamp. In addition, the PVC interior ensures the reflection of the UV-C rays. Thanks to the Blue
Lagoon UV-C Saltwater, your swimming pool water will be disinfected efficiently and safely, and the quality of your water will remain
excellent.
Attention!
Your pool requires less chlorine because this UV-C device disinfects the pool water during the passage of the UV-C lamp. Your salt chlorinator
device can therefore produce less chlorine than when there is no UV-C device installed to the pool. By bringing down the salt level in your
pool your salt chlorinator device will produce less chlorine. The advantage is that the water will taste less salty and the effects of combined
chlorine like irritation to eyes, skin and the respiratory tract are significantly reduced. Always check what the minimum salt content for your
salt electrolysis device may be before you reduce the salt level in your pool. Inform your supplier if necessary. At a too low salt level your salt
chlorinator device or the electrode may malfunction. On average, the minimum salt content is 3 kilo per 1000 litters of pool water.

Safety
This device Produces harmful radiation. Direct contact could jeopardise the eyes and skin. Only check the operation of the
UV-C lamp via the transparent components of the unit.
- Always plug the device into a socket with a protective cover.
- Always comply with the electricity company's regulations with regard to any permanent connection to the mains. If there is any doubt
regarding the connection, consult a recognised fitter or the electricity company. Always work with a residual current-operated circuit-
breaker.
- The device must be switched off if water treatment agents or medication are used.
- Always remove the plug from the socket before carrying out any maintenance or repair work on the unit. Never insert the plug / pull the
plug from the socket when you are standing in water or if your hands are wet.
- Never submerge this device in water.
- Keep children away from this device and from the cable.
- The cable of the device cannot be replaced. The complete electrical unit must be replaced if there is any damage to the power cable. Never
remove the plug; leave the electrical unit intact. An electrical unit with the plug removed will no longer be covered by the guarantee.
- Once the device has been switched off, the lamp will remain hot for approximately 10 minutes.
