For storage and transport purposes, some
components of the machine are not installed
in the factory and have to be assembled after
unpacking. Follow the instructions below.
Unpacking and completing the
assembly should be done on a flat and
stable surface, with enough space for
machine handling and its packaging,
always making use of suitable equipment.
Do not use the machine until all the
indications provided in the "ASSEMBLY"
section have been carried out.
Always wear protective gloves.
4.1 UNPACKING
1. Cautiously open the packaging, paying
attention not to lose components.
2. Consult the documentation in the
box, including these instructions.
3. Remove all the unassembled
parts from the box.
4. Remove the machine from the box.
5. Dispose of the box and packaging in
compliance with local regulations.
4.2 CONNECTING THE CUTTING-MEANS
ASSEMBLY TO THE RIDE-ON MOWER
The cutting-means assembly is connected
to the ride-on mower using:
• the supports fastened to the front wheels,
• the spring and chain that is connected
to the accessory lifting hook
• the cutting-means transmission
belt (preassembled on the
cutting-means assembly),
• the canvas guard support chassis.
4.2.1 Coupling the belt protection
connection device
1. Undo the two screws (fig. 4.A) preassembled
on the front section of the mower.
2. Position the chassis support device
(fig. 4.B) and fasten in place with
the two screws (fig. 4.A).
4.2.2 Basic alignment
The basic alignment of the cutting-means
assembly requires the rear edge to be
raised 5 mm higher than the front edge.
This means that the cutting-means
assembly is slanting forwards.
To adjust the height of the cutting-
means assembly:
1. Lift the cutting-means assembly slightly to
reduce the load on the split pin (fig. 5.A).
2. Remove the split (fig. 5.A) and the
washer (fig. 5.B) preassembled in the
pin (fig. 5.C), using a screwdriver.
3. Adjust the height of the rod and insert
the washer and the split pin in one of the
designated holes (fig. 6.A), positioning
it as seen in the diagram (fig. 6.B):
– For machines fitted with 17 inch
wheels: position the split pins in
the highest hole on the rod.
– For machines fitted with 16 inch
wheels: position the split pins in
the central hole on the rod.
4. Adjust the height of both the cutting-
means assembly support arms.
4.2.3 Coupling with the quick release
supports fixed to the wheels
IMPORTANT When performing the operations
below, please read the instructions in the
machine manual and the support system manual.
1. Check that the quick release supports
are installed on the machine and on
the cutting-means assembly arms.
2. Place the cutting-means assembly
in front of the mower.
3. Rotate the quick release supports
to the open position (fig. 7.A).
4. Lift and rest the lower section (fig. 7.B) of the
pin coupling bracket (fig. 7.C) on both sides.
5. Connect the coupling bracket (fig. 8.A)
to the pin (fig. 8.B) on both sides.
4.2.4 Coupling the cutting-means
transmission belt
• 4WD models
1. Use the left hand to grasp the tensioner
lever (fig.9.A) and pull it outwards.
2. Use the right hand to move the
belt onto the pulley (fig. 9.B).
3. Move the belt along the tensioner
pulley (fig. 9.C) whilst slowly
releasing the tension and grip.
• 2WD model
1. Use the left hand to grasp the tensioner
lever (fig. 9.A) and pull it outwards.
2. Use the right hand to move the
belt onto the pulley (fig. 9.B).
3. Move the belt along the tensioner
pulley (fig. 9.C) whilst slowly
releasing the tension and grip.
