How To Use The Reticle
The vertical scale (reticle) visible through the left half of the binocular, above the compass display, allows you to
calculate distance to an object if you know its height, or to calculate the height of an object if you know its distance
from you.
Calculating Distances
1) Focus on an object of which you know or can estimate the height e.g. 20m. Measure the object on the vertical scale
e.g. 3.
2) Turn the upper range-finder scale labelled 'ANGLE' on your binoculars to 3.
3) Now search the middle scale labelled 'OBJECT SIZE' for the size of the object 20m.
4) Read the lower scale labelled 'DISTANCE' to find out the distance which the object is located 650m.
Calculating Height
1) Focus on an object of which you know the distance e.g. 600m. Measure the object on the vertical scale e.g. 2.
2) Turn the upper range-finder scale labelled 'ANGLE' on your binoculars to 2.
3) Now search the lower scale labelled 'DISTANCE' for the distance the object is located 600m.
4) Read the middle scale labelled 'OBJECT SIZE' to find out height of the object 12m.

Using The Compass

The analogue compass built into your binoculars shows the direction an object is
from the observer.
Each graduation of the compass equals one degree of angle. When the object
lies north the compass reads 360°. The compass degrees will increase
when you turn it clockwise. 90° means the object lies in the east, 180°
means the south band 270° means the west.
In order to insure precise angle measurements, the binocular should
be kept horizontal and level when reading the compass, and the object
should lie in the middle of the reticle.
