• People with nervous problems must not
use the appliance when they are alone in
order to prevent possible danger.
• Children are not aware of the dangers
of electrical appliances. It is therefore
necessary to supervise them when they
are using the appliance!
• Keep the packaging materials, e.g.
plastic bags, well away from children!

The straightening plates and the hot steam

in the bath or shower or over a full sink. If
the appliance falls into the water, unplug
it immediately. Under no circumstances

• Never place the appliance on cushions or

• When you finish styling your hair, or if you
are going to take a long break, move the

it from the mains supply. Let it cool down
before putting it away.
• Do not place the appliance or the power
cable on to hot surfaces, e.g. cookers or
similar or anywhere near flames!

hairspray, mousse, etc, on your hair before
using the appliance as this can cause
burns when the substance comes into

• The appliance can only be used on dry
hair. The hair must be natural. Do not
use on artificial hair!
• The appliance is not suitable for
straightening animal hair!
• Fitting a residual current device (RCD)
offers you additional safety as it ensures
that 30mA is not exceeded in your
home's electrical installation.
• Keep the plates away from sensitive
areas like your face and neck. In order
to use the appliance safely, put a towel
around your neck.
• Unplug the appliance:
- If the appliance is not working properly
- Before cleaning it
- After each use
• Do not leave the straightener unattended
when it is plugged in, even if it is only
for a short space of time, because it is a
potential source of danger.
• Do not pull on the cable and do not
carry the appliance by the cable!
