The warranty automatically becomes void if the user personally tries to repair or modify the device.

The warranty also becomes void in case of damage caused by inappropriate or excessive use or the
disregard of standard safety prescriptions in general and those in this manual in particular.

The warranty is not applicable to parts that, because of their nature, wear fast during normal use
(e.g. batteries, lamps, belts, etc.).
•
When the device has been found not faulty, fixed costs may be charged. Read the manual thoroughly
before returning the device.

Velleman Inc. does not accept responsibility for personal injury caused by the disregard of the safety
instructions in this manual. This also goes for all types of consequential loss.
•
Warranty repair procedure: the device needs to be sent back in the original packaging, together with
all accessories and a copy of the invoice or the receipt. Transportation damages caused by
insufficient protection are at the expense of the customer and are not covered by the warranty.

Removal or obliteration of any serial number may void the warranty.

Operation
This solar panel converts the energy of the sunlight into 12 VDC electricity, which is then transported to
the rechargeable batteries via a lead wire and a connector of your choosing.
This panel works under cloudy conditions as well as in the intense heat of the summer sun. The power
loss due to extreme heat is lower than with other similar devices.
Use
•
Aim the front at the sun and make sure the device is not installed in the shade.
•
Tilt the solar panel at a suitable angle.
•
Connect the battery with the solar panel using the provided cable and battery clamps. Respect the
polarity indications : black lead = negative (-), red lead = positive (+). Use the correct battery
terminals!
Warning
•
Wipe the glass surface clean periodically with a soft cloth in order to ensure max. output.
•
Handle the solar panel with care in order to protect the glass substrate.
•
Avoid contact with acids and alkali.
