Connecting a subwoofer

You can connect any conventional subwoofer that features an audio cable with a
3.5 mm stereo jack connection or can be connected with such a cable.
Read and follow the user manual of the subwoofer before connecting it to the system.
It contains important information regarding connection and operation.
– Connect the 3.5 mm stereo jack of the subwoofer audio cable to the jack connec-
tion SUB-OUT.
See page 49 for instructions on adjusting the volume of the subwoofer.
Subwoofer radio transmitter
wireless AudioArt subwoofer that can be controlled by a special retrofit radio trans-
mitter will soon be available. You will find detailed information about connecting the
subwoofer in the user manual for this radio transmitter.
Connecting an AirPort Express
You can connect an Apple AirPort Express to the stereo jack connection INPUT 3 in
the system. Currently there are different AirPort Express variants available. Therefore,
please note the following requirements:
▍ The AirPort Express must feature a 12 V DC connector for the plug of the power
cable of the system.
▍ The maximal dimensions of the AirPort Express are 150 × 100 × 35 mm.
Read and follow the user manual of the AirPort Express before you connect it to the
system. It contains important information regarding connection and operation.
To connect the AirPort Express, the fabric covering of the system must be removed
and placed again later (see page 54).
Risk of fatal injury from electrical current!
DANGER
Disconnect the mains plug before you start with the
tasks described in the following. After opening the
cover, the electric contacts are freely accessible.
– Make sure that the mains plug is disconnected!
– Take off the textile covering (see page 54).

– Remove the screws of both covers (1) and (2) and remove the covers.
– Connect the plug (3) of the mains cable to the power connection of the AirPort
Express.
– Connect the 3.5 mm jack of the AirPort's audio cable to the jack connection (4)
on the PCB.
– Place the AirPort Express in either the small or the large slot (5).
– Make sure that no cables are pinched or kinked and replace the two covers.
– Insert and tighten the screws.
– Finally, replace the textile covering (see page 54).
– Connect the mains plug of the system with the power socket.
– On the remote control, press the button for the internal jack connection (see page 47)
or press the SOURCE button on the system repeatedly until the INPUT 3 LED
illuminates.
– Start playback.
