Application
This appliance is an electric table grill
suitable for low-fat searing and grilling of
meat, fi sh, poultry or vegetables.
Before using for the fi rst time
∙ Remove any packing materials
completely, before the appliance is used
for the fi rst time.
∙ The grill plate and fat collection tray
should be cleaned with a damp, lint-free
cloth. Wipe thoroughly dry afterwards.
∙ Then let the grill heat up for about 5 - 10
minutes without any food on it. This will
remove the smell typically encountered
when fi rst switching on a grill. (A little
smoke may be emitted; this is quite
normal, but ensure there is suffi cient
ventilation by opening windows or balcony
doors.
Indicator light
During the heating phase, the indicator light
comes on. Once the pre-set temperature
level is reached, the light goes out.
Fat collection tray
Before use, ensure that the tray has been
fi tted at the rear of the appliance. Take care

that the tray does not overfl ow during use;
always empty it in good time.
Warming zone
The warming zone surrounding the grill
surface can be used to keep cooked food
warm.
Operation
∙ Always ensure that the tray has been
properly fi tted before use.
∙ Insert the plug into a suitable wall outlet.
∙ Use the thermostat control knob to set the
desired temperature level, between low
(1) and high (7); the indicator light comes
on.
∙ Once the pre-set temperature has been
reached, the indicator light goes out.
∙ Let the appliance heat up for 5-10
minutes before you start grilling.
∙ Place the food to be cooked onto the grill
plate.
∙ Do not use any fl avourings or marinades
containing sugar or vinegar, as such
substances can cause damage to the grill
surface.
∙ Ensure that the fat collection tray does
not overfl ow during use. Always empty the
tray in good time.
∙ After use, set the thermostat control knob
to '0'.
∙ Remove the plug from the wall socket.
∙ Allow the appliance to cool down before
cleaning.
Cleaning and care
∙ Before cleaning the appliance, remove
the plug from the wall socket and allow
the appliance to cool down.
∙ To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not
clean the appliance with water and do not
