12 Assembling the Trimmer

► Push the deflector (2) into the guides on the housing until
it stops.
The deflector must be tight against the housing.
► Insert and tighten the screws (3).
The line limiting blade (1) comes mounted in the deflector
and may not be removed.
12.2 AutoCut 2-2 Mowing Head
12.2.1 Mounting the Trimmer Line Spool
WARNING
Use of metal cutting attachments, wire or metal-reinforced
line is not authorized and could be extremely dangerous.
Use only the cutting attachments recommended in this
manual, in combination with the recommended deflector,
@ 5.6.4.
WARNING
A damaged or loose cutting attachment or mowing head may
vibrate, crack, break or come off the trimmer, which may
result in serious or fatal injury or property damage. Make
sure the mowing head and cutting attachment are properly
tightened and in good condition before starting work,
@ 5.6.4.
To mount the spool on the AutoCut 2-2:
► Switch off the trimmer, @ 15.2.
► Remove the battery, @ 14.2.

► From below, push the trimmer line (4) from the spool (2)
up through the mounting holes (1) of the mowing head (5).
► Fit the spool into the mowing head.
► Fit the cover (7) on the mowing head. Align the tabs (3) of
the cover with the openings (6) in the mowing head.
Both tabs should audibly click into place.
NOTICE
Using the trimmer with overly long trimmer line increases the
load on the motor and reduces its operating speed. This may
result in overheating and damage to important components.
12.2.2 Removing the Trimmer Line Spool
► Switch off the trimmer, @ 15.2.
► Remove the battery, @ 14.2.

► Press both tabs (1) and remove the cover (3).
► Remove the spool (2).
