Possible Cause
A cooling fan may automatically turn on and off.
This is the sound of the metal heating and cooling
during both the cooking and cleaning functions.
Your range cycles the heating elements by turning
relays on and off to maintain the oven temperature.
Light bulb is loose or defective.
Pad operating light is broken.
The temperature is too high to set a self-clean
operation.
Oven controls improperly set.
The oven door is locked because the temperature
inside the oven has not dropped below the unlocking
temperature.
The self-clean cycle has been selected but the door
is not closed.
Oven too hot.
Excessive soil or grease in oven cavity.
Oven was heavily soiled.
