IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
W When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including
the following:
W WARNINGS:
W Read and save all instructions.
W Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or
knobs.
W To protect against electrical shock do not
immerse cord, plugs or heating element in water
or other liquids.
W Close supervision is necessary when any
appliance is used by or near children.
W Unplug from outlet when not in use and before
cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or
taking off parts.
W Do not operate any appliance with a damaged
cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions
or has been damaged in any manner. Return
appliance to the nearest authorized service
facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
W The use of accessory attachments not
recommended by the appliance manufacturer
may cause injuries.
W Do not let cord hang over edge of table or
counter or touch hot surfaces.
W Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric
burner or in a heated oven.
W Extreme caution must be used when moving an
appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
W Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug
cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn the
control to "OFF", then remove plug from wall
outlet.
W Do not use appliance for anything other than
intended use.
W Use only on properly grounded outlet.
W Fuel, such as charcoal briquettes, is not to be
used with appliance.
W Longer detachable power-supply cords or a
grounding type 3-wire extension cords are
available and may be used if care is exercised in
their use.
W If a longer detachable power-supply cord or a
grounding type 3-wire extension cord is used:
a. The marked electrical rating of the cord set or
extension cord should be at least as great as
the electrical rating of the appliance.
b. The cord should be arranged so that it will
not drape over a countertop or tabletop
where it can be pulled on by children or
tripped over unintentionally.
c. The cord set or extension cord should be a
grounding-type 3-wire cord.

not be used in a building, garage, or any other
enclosed area.
W For residential use only. This smoker is NOT for
commercial use.
W This smoker is not intended for and should
never be used as a heater. Toxic fumes can
accumulate and cause asphyxiation.

a ten (10) foot (3.05 m) clearance from any
structure. Do not use on or under balconies.
