Diagnostic data of the VS
7.3.3
Software diagnosis
The software in the controller monitors the connected VS. To do
this, the bus coupler transfers the diagnostic data to the
superior bus system and provides it to the controller.
The diagnostic data of the valve system is located in the
diagnostic data section in accordance with the DDL address. If
the address 0 (automatic addressing) is set, the VS will act like
a valve unit. The VS will act like a combination module if it has
input modules.
The length of the diagnosis area is 1 byte plus the set output
data length in bytes (see "Setting the output data length for
valves" on page 88).
The diagnostic data is made up of three parts:
W
The first byte (Z) is the standard diagnosis.
W
The second part is made up of up to 4 bytes of output
diagnostic data (Z + 1 to Z + 4), according to the expansion
stage.
W
The third part (Z + 5) is made up of the module diagnostic
data. The module diagnostic data is only transferred if
modules are connected.
Output modules send a diagnosis bit if there is a short
circuit. This is prepared in input modules, but is not yet
active.
