Automatic addressing

Each participant is assigned a permanent address between 1
and 14 (1 to E). The following regulations apply here:
W
No participant may have the address 0.
W
The lowest address must be 1.
W
There must not be any gaps between the addresses.
The addressing is, however, independent of the physical
position and type of the participant in the DDL.
How to set the manual address:

Set the appropriate address on the S5 rotary switch
(under fitting A).

Lowest address is not 1 and there is a gap (4).

Address 0 has been used.
If there is only one participant per type in the bus coupler, the
bus coupler can address itself automatically.

Set the S5 rotary switch to position 0 (= address 0) for
automatic addressing.
In this case, the bus coupler will automatically assign addresses
to the participants.
