Operation
Tnis instruction book assumes
that your
dealer has set up the television ready for you
to operate.
If you wish to set the television up by your-
self, please read the section entitled 'Posi-
tioning' etc. page 11 and 12 first.
On/off Switch
Press
the on/off
button
(). The
sound
comes on at once, the picture after a few
seconds.
To switch off, press this button
again.
Station Selection
Depending on the location and the model,
up to eight or sixteen different television sta-
tions can be selected by lightly pressing one
of the station buttons (4). The station position
AV can also be used for playing back video
recordings.
Telescopic Aerial (Portables Only)
A twin-rod telescopic aerial is supplied for
use if you wish to move the set around or
take it with you on holiday.
This should be mounted in the plastic socket
on the left at the top of the set and the cable
plugged into the aerial socket. Both rods
should
be pulled out to their full extent,
angled into a 'V' and then rotated until the
best picture is obtained.
Accessories
GRUNDIG Decoders and Transcoders
These make it possible to convert the set to
receive stations broadcast
using different
TV standards.
Please consult your dealer about this.
Head- and Earphones
a3) Connecting
socket for head-
or ear-
phones fitted with a 3.5 mm jack plug (not
ON C 2tee/C 22cec, P 1518, P 1528).
When the head- or earphone is connected,
the built-in loudspeaker will be automatically
switched off.
For recording the television sound onto
tape you can connect your tape/cassette
recorder to this socket via FS/TB (TV/tape)
adapter cable 484.
On sets without built-in socket your dealer
can fit a head/earphone adapter 4820 into
the TV set which assumes the same func-
tion.
Video Recorder Operation
This colour television set is designed to play
back black/white or colour recordings from
GRUNDIG video recorders or VCRs of simi-
lar specifications with the last station posi-
tion selected on the TV set.
