5.3
Attaching the additional handle
Always use a suitable dust extraction system:
Connect an M-class vacuum cleaner to the
extractor connection (5) piece.
For optimal dust extraction, use the connecting
sleeve 6.30796.
We recommend using an antistatic suction hose
Ø 35 mm.
6. Attaching the accessory
Prior to any conversion work: Pull the mains
plug from the socket. The machine must be
switched off and the spindle at a standstill.
6.1
Attaching the diamond cutting disc
Dismantle the extraction guard (12) and base
part (11)
See page 2, fig. A.
1. Push slider (10) in the direction of the arrow and
tilt extraction guard (12) as shown in the
direction of the arrow.
2. The extraction guard (12) can be removed from
the base part (11) in the shown position.
Attach the diamond cutting disc at the angle
grinder.
3. Press in the spindle locking button (4) and turn
the spindle (20) until the spindle locking button
engages noticeably.
4. Fit the support flange (19) (scope of delivery of
the angle grinder) on the spindle. The flange
should not turn on the locked spindle when
properly attached.
5. Fit the spacer sleeve (18) on the support flange
(19).
6. Put the diamond cutting disc (17) on the spacer
sleeve (18). Make sure the direction of
rotation is correct. The direction of rotation is
indicated by arrows on the saw blade and
extraction guard.
7. Ensure that the clamping nut with two holes (16)
and the spindle (20) of the angle grinder match:
Lettering on the clamping nut with two holes and
thread size on the angle grinder's rating plate
have to match (M14 / 5/8").
8. Screw on two-hole adjustment nut (16).
9. Push spindle locking button (4) and keep
pressed.
10.Firmly tighten the two-hole adjustment nut (16)
using a two-hole spanner (15).
Assemble extraction guard (12) and base part
(11)
11.See page 2, fig. B. Insert the 2 bolts of the
extraction hood (12) as shown in theguides of
the base part (11).
12.Swivel the extraction guard (12) and base part
(11) into each other until the slider (10) engages
and both parts are connected to each other.
13.Check for secure connection.
7. Use
Always hold the tool by the main handle and
side handle (2) , using both hands.
1. Set required cutting depth:
Loosen the clamping screw (6) and set the
required cutting depth at the scale, tighten
clamping screw (6) again.
2. Place the guard with the base part (11) on the
workpiece.
3. Switch on machine and wait until the full speed
has been reached.
4. Turn the locking lever (3). Slowly guide the
machine downwards to the stop: the diamond
cutting disc penetrates deeply into the material.
5. Pull/push machine only in direction of the
arrow (1) (work in reverse rotation). Otherwise
there is the danger of the machine kicking back
from the cut out of control. Guide the machine
evenly at a speed suitable for the material being
processed.
6. Once the channel is complete, switch off the tool
and hold it steady until the diamond cutting disc
comes to a stop. Never attempt to remove the
cutting disc from the cut while the wheel is
in motion otherwise kickback may occur.
7. Guide the machine upwards until the stop: the
locking lever (3) engages.
8. Put machine aside.
Note: For special applications, the guard can also
be used without base part (11). The removal and
fitting of the base part is described in chapter 6.1.
8. Maintenance
Prior to each use, check if there are parts
missing, worn, broken, torn or damaged. Do not
use defective or incomplete guard.
