OPERATION - Pulse mode
The Pulse setting can be used to operate the blender briefly at maximum speed. The Pulse function
operates only whilst the switch is held in the "pulse" position.
Ice- crushing; Prepare crushed ice by filling the blender jug with ice cubes and repeatedly turn the speed
dial to setting pulse ("P") until you obtain ice of the required consistency.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE - Before first use
For the first use clean the mixing jug, lid with cap and blades.
1. Remove the mixing jug (4) from the motorhousing (6).
2. Turn the mixing jug to remove the blades unit (5).
3. Place the mixing jug on a flat and stable surface.
4. Turn the lid (2) ± 45° counter clockwise to remove it from the mixing jug.
Pull the lid to remove it. (See figure 2).
5. Clean the parts with soapy water, rinse and dry them thoroughly.
6. Press the lid back onto the mixing jug and turn it ± 45° clockwise to
tighten it. When a click is heard, the security tag is secure.
7. Turn the mixing jug back on the blades unit.
8. Place the mixing jug back on the motorhousing.
9. Clean the motorhousing with a damp cloth with soapy water and dry it
thoroughly.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE - After every use
Clean the appliance and the seperate parts thoroughly after each use. Clean the mixing jug and blades
right after use, for the best cleaning results.
1. Turn the speed dial to setting 0 (off).
2. Fill the blender jug for ¼ with warm water.
3. Turn the speed dial to setting 1.
4. Switch off the blender after about 20 to 30 seconds ('0') and disconnect the plug from the wall socket.
The blades are clean now.
5. It is also possible to clean the mixing jug, lid with cap and blades by disassembling them as separate
parts. See 'cleaning and maintenance – Before first use'.
6. Clean the motor unit with a damp cloth, if necessary moistened with a couple of drops of washing-up
liquid. After cleaning, dry the motor unit thoroughly.
7. Store the blender.
WARNING:
•
Use only lukewarm water, hot water can cause cracks.
•
Do not leave the blender jug to soak in soapy water for too long.
•
Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as knives or hard brushes) to
clean the appliance.
•
Do not immerse the motor unit in water, or in other liquids.
