Maintenance
CAUTION
• Regular and careful maintenance is
essential to maintain optimum levels of safety and
performance of the equipment.
• Before cleaning, repairing, inspecting, or storing
equipment, turn off the engine and wait for the engine to
cool completely.
• Keep nuts, bolts and screws tight to ensure equipment is
in safe working condition.
• Do not tamper with security devices. Check its correct
operation regularly.
• Any worn or damaged part must be replaced before
using the equipment. Do not attempt to repair the parts,
as they may damage the equipment and put your safety at
risk.
• Any repair or maintenance other than those described in
this section, such as carburetor adjustment, must only be
performed at a
Center.
General cleaning
• With a brush or compressed air clean and clear the
ventilation slots of the starter unit whenever necessary.
• In the same way, periodically clean the engine cylinder
fins and fan fins to remove any impurities. Failure to do
so may damage the motor due to overheating.
Air Filter Cleaning
• Remove the air filter cover.
• Remove the air filter.
• Depending on the time of use you can superficially
clean the filter by tapping it lightly against a flat surface to
dislodge most of the particles.
• You can also blow the filter with compressed air, do it
from both sides.
• Wash the sponge filter with a solution of detergent and
hot water. Let the filter dry completely. Apply a few drops
of SAE 15 W 40 oil to the sponge to trap the smallest
airborne particles.
• Reinstall the air filter, checking that it snaps into place.
• Please clean the air filter as often as necessary to keep it
clean, otherwise the engine efficiency may decrease.
Fuel filter
• Check the fuel filter frequently.
• If the filter is dirty, it must be replaced.
• If the inside of the gas tank is dirty, rinse it with gasoline.
Authorized Service
Carburetor adjustment
• It is recommended to make carburetor adjustments at a
Authorized Service Center.
• Incorrect adjustment can damage the engine and void
the warranty.
Spark plug change
• The engine uses a LD AL60C spark plug with a 0.025"gap.
Replace the spark plug with the same one once a year.
• With the engine completely cold, loosen the spent spark
plug to the left with a wrench and remove it.
• Insert the new spark plug and hand-tighten it to the right.
DANGER
• Be careful not to cross the thread of the
spark plug, otherwise it will seriously damage the engine.
• Tighten it another half turn with the included spark plug
wrench.
Exhaust and muffler cleaning
• * The exhaust and muffler can become clogged with
carbon deposits, depending on the type of fuel and/or
conditions of use. If you notice loss of power, those
deposits will need to be removed to restore performance.

• The muffler is equipped with a spark screen inside the
muffler. After being used for long periods of time, the
screen becomes dirty and the muffler must be replaced.
