USE - Spray function
You can use the spray function to moisten the fabric. Moistening the
fabric makes it easier to smoothen any wrinkles. You can use the spray
function at any temperature by switching the selection
button to the
position and then press it (see figure 3).
WARNING:
•
The spray function can only be used when the water reservoir
contains sufficient water.
USE - Steam ironing
1. Fill the water reservoir with clean tap water (see 'Filling the water
reservoir').
2. Put the plug into the wall socket.
3. Turn the temperature-control dial to the required position within
the 'steam range' (see 'Ironing instructions'). The temperature-
indication light will illuminate.
4. Put the steam iron upright and wait until the
temperature-indication light extinguishes.
5. Use the steam-control dial to adjust the quantity
of steam to the required level (see Figure 4).
6. Iron the fabric by sliding the steam iron over the fabric. While you
are ironing, the heating element will automatically switch on and off
to maintain the soleplate at the set temperature. Consequently the
temperature-indication light will also automatically illuminate and
extinguish.
7. You can use the steam shot function by switching the selection
button to the
position and then press it.
8. When you are finished, turn the temperature-control dial to the "0" position, remove the plug from the
wall socket and put the steam iron upright to allow it to cool.
WARNING:
•
Water can leak from the soleplate if the temperature is set to too low.
This can cause stains. If you see drops of water you should turn the temperature-control dial to
the recommended range. Steam will be emitted once the correct temperature is reached.
USE - Vertical ironing
1. Put the plug into the wall socket.
2. Turn the temperature-control dial to the 'max' position. The
temperature-indication light will illuminate.
3. Put the steam iron upright and wait until the temperature-indication
light extinguishes.
4. Hold the iron by its handle in front of the fabric you wish to iron (see
Figure 5).
5. Slide the steam iron over the fabric. While you are ironing, the
heating element will automatically switch on and off to maintain the
soleplate at the set temperature. Consequently the temperature-
indication light
will also automatically illuminate and extinguish.
6. When you are finished, turn the temperature-control dial to the "0"
position, remove the plug from the wall socket, and stand the iron
upright to allow it to cool.
