System operation
The automatic house water system main-
tains the pressure in the mains automatical-
ly. The pump is turned on if the pressure
falls below 0.16MPa (1.6 bar). The pump
runs as long as the flow meter detects a
water extraction (flow > 200 l/h). If the water
extraction is finished, the pump is turned off
after a short trailing period. The system is
now under pressure. In the case of re-
newed water extraction and the resulting
pressure drop, the pump starts again.
The pump remains turned on for a 3 second
period ("overpump time") after the extrac-
tion is finished to build up the required pres-
sure again. This period can be adjusted if
needed.
It should be increased if the pump is fre-
quently switched on and off (in the case of
reduced water extraction or system leak-
age).
Under ideal conditions, it can be reduced to
save energy.
Settings
Use the + / - buttons to adjust the overpump
time. The active light shows the current set-
ting (20s/10s/5s/3s).
If the pump is inactive for an extended peri-
od of time, the LEDs will switch from a con-
tinuous light to the energy conservation
mode and will then blink approx. 1 time per
minute.
A blinking LED during pump operation sig-
nals an active water flow.

Connect anti-vacuum suction hose with
backflow stop valve on the suction side.
(see special accessories)
Note: Please use original Kärcher suction
lines, filter components and hose connec-
tions. If components made by other manu-
facturers are used, there can be
malfunctions when suctioning the liquid,
especially if you are using bayonet connec-
tion systems.
With fixed installations: Connect the
pressure side to the pressure line using
a flexible pressure compensating hose
to reduce noise (see special accesso-
ries).
Tip: To make subsequent empting of the
system and pressure release easier, we
recommend you install a shut-off valve be-
tween pump and pressure line.
(not included in delivery)
By closing the shut-off valve when empty-
ing the pump you can prevent water from
escaping from the pressure line.
