3. Place a juice container under the drain (8).
4. Place the fruit pulp in the basket (4). Do not fill the basket completely. A
smaller amount of pulp will make juicing easier.
TIP: The fruit should be prepared for juicing. Apples and similar hard fruits
should be grinded (no puree!) and soft fruits such as grapes should be gently
crushed to break the skins. If done so, juicing will be more effective.
5. In order to obtain the juice, "screw" the spindle (2) into the crossbar (3). The
plate will lower while pressing the fruit. Press slowly and gradually until the
juice stops flowing.
6. Turn the handle counterclockwise to raise the pressure plate.
7. After finishing work, disassemble the device and wash it thoroughly.
3.4.
Cleaning and maintenance
a)
After each use, wash the device thoroughly to avoid rotting or the formation
of mold on the fruit remnants. Leaving even small residues can damage the
material from which the appliance is made and affect the quality of the juice.
b)
Only mild detergents designed for cleaning food contact surfaces may be used
to clean the unit.
c)
After each cleaning, all the parts should be dried well before the unit is used
again. It is recommended to dry the device with a soft towel.
d)
Store the unit in a dry and cool place protected from moisture and direct
sunlight.
e)
Do not use sharp and/or metal objects (e.g. wire brush or metal spatula) for
cleaning as they may damage the surface of the appliance material.
