Remedy
– W ith tip pointing down, shake
the electrode with short flicking
movements (like a clinical ther-
mometer)
– S tore electrode in upright po-
sition
Place electrode in tap water at
40 °C until bubbles disappear
Make sure pH meter is set to the
buffer temperature
Fresh buffer solution
If heavily fouled, clean electrode
with ethanol / ether 1:1 or hand-
hot (40 °C) soap solution
If heavily fouled, clean electrode

Check that cable is properly con-
nected, or change the cable
