4. Installation requirements
4.1 Ambient conditions

The product may be damaged if it is installed under the wrong ambient
conditions
Do not install products in the following environments:
• outdoors (except outdoor version
• in damp environments
• in the vicinity of electromagnetically sensitive devices
• do not install in potentially explosive environments.

The product can be damaged by condensed water on cold components!
• Before installation, please ensure that all product components are at the ambient
temperature!
• Store products at the installation site for an appropriate period prior to installation.
An outdoor version of the WRU 400 is required for outdoor use. This version must be
approved by Häfele for the respective installation site.

The environmental conditions in the place of installation – for example, magnetic fields
or metal materials – may impair the functionality of the system.
• Ensure that the product is installed in a suitable location.
• Set up a sample installation in the chosen location and test it out prior to carrying
out the final installation.
The electronic unit is an electrostatically sensitive component. Electrostatic charge
leads to product damage.
• Only touch the electronic unit with suitable ESD protection equipment
(e.g. ESD gloves, ESD wristband, etc.)
• Appropriate protective measures must be taken when installing the electronic unit.
• When installing in a flush-mount socket, carefully clean the flush-mount socket
before starting installation. There must be no metal chips, wood shavings, plaster
residues or the like in it.
Electrical cables should generally be shielded to prevent the environment from being
affected by radiation of electromagnetic waves or, conversely, to protect electronic
equipment from radiation from the environment.
The shielding of the cables connected to the WTC 200 controller ensures that
electrical / magnetic interference fields are kept away from the connected system
components and, conversely, that the environment is protected from them.
