Limited precision on IO-Link variant
Using the Q1 and Q2 digital outputs as IO-Link, frequency output, or
pulse output simultaneously with the Qa and Q2 analog outputs may
lead to limitations in the precision of the analog outputs.
In case of problems during commissioning: see section g 12. Troubleshooting.
8 Operation
8.1 Basic requirements
The following points must be observed during operation.
General requirements
• Do not touch the product or any connected parts during operation (accident
prevention).
• Operation only with protected low voltage (material protection).
• Do not work on the system while it is live (accident prevention, material pro-
tection).
• Never switch off, modify or bypass safety devices.
• Avoid increased output pressure tolerances: Make sure that high-frequency
radiation is kept away from the device (e.g. by radios, radio telephones or
other devices emitting interference).
• Only operate the product via a supply with safe isolation from the mains: PELV
according to DIN VDE 0100-410, IEC 60364-4-41, HD 60364.4.41,
EN 60079-14. The circuit must be potential-free (not grounded).
• Circuits connected to the device must be SELV and PELV circuits.
• Do not change the sensor/filter combination, otherwise the calibration will be
invalidated.
• Make sure that there are no ferromagnetic sources near the product (material
protection).
Service
• Carry out service work in the designated time intervals. See g 9. Service.
In case of malfunctions during operation
• In case of a malfunction that presents an immediate danger for employees or
systems: Switch off product.
• Carry out analysis and troubleshooting of malfunctions according to the fol-
lowing specifications. See g 12. Troubleshooting.
• If a malfunction cannot be remedied: Inform the customer service. See back
cover.
8.2 Notes on safety
To eliminate risks during operation, observe the notes on safety. See g 2. Safety.
Risk of burns due to hot surfaces
Touching the surfaces of the product during operation can cause burns.
1. Do not touch the product during operation.
2. Allow the product to cool down before carrying out any work.
