the appliance manually as well.
The base is a practical resting stand for the Gratì both horizontally and vertically (Fig.).
To use it vertically place the base in the desired location and mark the points to be drilled in the
holes with a pencil. Drill holes in the walls and introduce the dowels and screws (Fig.).
reCHArgIng
It is necessary to recharge batteries for about 5 hours to permit them to work at full power.
When batteries are completely charged Gratì is able to grate aprox. 000 grams of cheese. To start
the battery recharge, plug the charging unit in and place Gratì into the recharge base or place only
the battery into the recharge base, placing it within the provided resting site in the recharge base
(Fig.3).
WArnIng: to charge the battery correctly, take care to insert it in the proper compartr r
ment, making sure that the two "+" signs correspond, as illustrated in Figure 4.
the lit indicator will switch on to show that the battery is charging.
WArnIng: never lay the battery on metal surfaces; this is to prevent the risk of short circuits.
When replacing the batteries, do not dispose of the old ones as normal refuse; take them to your
nearest Assistance Centre, where they can be separated and disposed of in the proper contain- -
ers, in compliance with legal regulations with regard to the environment and the recycling of used
materials.
notes on reCHArgIng
Using the appliance frequently will guarantee longer life and optimal functioning. The handle will
become warm during recharging: this is normal.
Avoid recharging at temperatures lower than 4°C or higher than 40°C. This can damage the bat- -
teries.
If the grater does not work check that it has been correctly placed into its recharging base, that
there is electricity and that the plug has been correctly connected.
Important: if function autonomy seems to become shorter after repeated use, this does not mean
that the unit is faulty. This trouble can be solved by leaving the appliance switched on until the roller
stops rotating. Then recharge the appliance for 5 hours. This procedure improves the batteries>
recharging capacities. If necessary repeat this operation more than once.
removIng/FIttIng tHe roLLer
WArnIng: This appliance has two types of roller to be used according to whether you require fine
grating or shavings. The shaving roller is ideal for preparing excellent carpaccio.
Turn off the motor and rotate the indented ring counter clockwise by about /4, and draw the roller
outwards (Fig. 5).
To reassemble the roller, introduce the roller into its housing and keeping it pressed rotate it clock- -
wise by about /4. A click will signal the automatic link (Fig. 6).
