In Place Descaling/Sanitizing Procedure

This procedure allows monthly in place descaling of all
surfaces that come in contact with the water system. The
ice machine requires disassembly and descaling/sanitizing
a minimum of once every 12 months. The quality of your
potable water supply may require more frequent descaling
intervals.
Use ice machine descaler to remove lime scale or other
mineral deposits. Ice machine sanitizer disinfects and
removes algae and slime.
NOTE: All ice must be removed from the bin.
Step 1
Prepare 4 oz (1/2 cup) of undiluted Manitowoc
Ice Machine Descaler (part number 000000084 only) in a
container that will fit easily under the lifted water shutters.
Refer to "Component Identification" on page 17 to identify
the water shutters.
