Entering the filter capacity

The capacity of the filter cartridge must be entered on the flowmeter so that the flowmeter can provide a
reminder in good time to replace a used filter cartridge.
⇒ Determine the capacity of the filter cartridge used (M / L) for the local carbonate hardness (see table in
Chap. 4.3.2.).
⇒ Enter the capacity in the programming and display unit, see Chap 524
The system is now ready for operation.

Replacing a filter cartridge

⇒ Run the flushing hose into a suitable container (e.g., a bucket) or into a drain.
⇒ Slowly unscrew the used filter cartridge anti-clockwise. This releases it from the filter head and it can be
removed
♦ During this procedure, the consumer unit and the water supply line are hydraulically disconnected
from the filter head and the system is decompressed. In this case, it can happen that a minimal quan-
tity of decompression water can escape from the flushing hose due to pressure peaks. Take this into
consideration and place a suitable container underneath
⇒ Open the purge valve (5, Fig. 5).
⇒ Remove the new filter cartridge from the packaging and check for damage.
⇒ Insert the filter cartridge into the filter head.
⇒ In doing so, pay attention to the insertion mark on the filter head and the marking on the filter cartridge.
Then turn the filter cartridge as far as it will go. The mark on the filter cartridge must form a line with the
operating mark (Fig. 7) on the filter head.
♦ This vents the system and flushes the filter cartridge:
- Filter cartridge M: Flush with min 5 liters of water
- Filter cartridge L:
⇒ Close the purge valve
⇒ Enter the date of installation and the time of replacement in the corresponding fields on the sticker on
the filter cartridge (a ballpoint pen can be used).
After installing the system and inserting or replacing a filter cartridge, check all components for
leak-tightness. Water must not leak out at any location.
NOTICE: The rinsing water is initially milky and cloudy. This is due to the dispersed air and clears
after a short time.
Check the correct position of the filter cartridge in the filter head using the markings on the filter
head and filter cartridge (7, Fig. 1). When inserting the filter cartridge, pay attention to the position
of the sticker. This should face forward so that all the necessary information is visible.
If the filter cartridge is removed from the filter head without being replaced by a new one, the wa-
ter supply to the filter head must be shut off.
Flush with min 10 liters of water
