SPARK PLUG SERVICE

Recommended spark plug: BPR5ES (NGK)
Never use a spark plug with an improper heat range.
1.Remove the spark plug cap and
then remove the spark plug using
a spark plug wrench.
2.Clean the spark plug with a wire
brush.
3.Measure the plug gap. Correct as
necessary by bending the side
electrode.
Spark plug gap:
0.7—0.8 mm
4.Install the spark plug carefully by
hand, to avoid cross-threading.
5.After the spark plug is seated,
tighten with a spark plug wrench
to compress the sealing washer.
Used spark plug: Tighten the
spark plug 1/8 to 1/4 turn after
being seated.
New spark plug: Tighten the
spark plug 1/2 turn after being
seated.
TORQUE: 18 N∙m (1.8 kgf∙m)
6.Install the spark plug cap.
